Classes and workshops are
conducted on a regular basis covering topics that include resume
writing, cover letters, interviewing, job search strategies, professional dress
and Federal employment. Career and employment counseling is available on an

The Family Support Center Transition
Assistance Program (TAP)is another program available to get lots of information
about full time employment. This program assists separating or
retiring members transitioning into civilian life through information and
programs, including job fairs. The Eielson TAP Manager is responsible for the
mandatory TAP pre-separation/pre-retirement briefing or one on one counseling.
This briefing or counseling session must be completed not less than 90 days
prior to separation/retirement. Call the Family Support Center at
907-377-2178 for more information or to schedule an appointment for the
mandatory TAP briefing. The Eielson TAP Manager offers a voluntary 3-day job
search skills workshop specifically designed to prepare transitioning members
for a career change. Topics include resume assistance, interviewing for a job
and job search techniques. Attendance at all three days is
mandatory.
