Air Force Aid Society at Eielson, as with other bases can help if
you are faced with an emergency situation. If you need assistance while
traveling, contact the Military installation nearest you. If you do not have
access to a military base, contact the American Red Cross. Air Force Aid Society
provides emergency financial assistance in the form of interest free loans or
grants to Air Force members and their families in need. Aid is based on the
merits of the individual case. In many cases evaluations can be made on the
spot. Loans of up to $3500 can be approved locally, while national society
headquarters must approve larger loans. Applications are available through the
First Sergeants or the Air Force Aid Society office located in the Family
Support Center.
The Air Force Aid Society also assists families with spouse
tuition assistance, education grants, respite care, childcare for volunteers,
child care for PCS, Give parents a break, and car care because we care
programs.
