& Family Readiness Center Transition Assistance Program
(TAP). This program assists separating or retiring members
transitioning into civilian life through information and programs, including job
fairs. Check the contacts under Employment: Local Community for commercial
employment agencies. The contacts section highlights the top 12 private
employers in Okaloosa County
The Eglin TAP is responsible for the mandatory
TAP pre-separation/pre-retirement briefing. This briefing must be completed not
less than 90 days prior to separation/retirement. Call the Airman
& Family Readiness Center at 850-882-9060 for more information or to
schedule an appointment for the mandatory TAP briefing.
The Eglin TAP offers
a voluntary 3-day job search skills workshop specifically designed to prepare
transitioning members for a career change. Topics include resume assistance,
interviewing for a job and job search techniques. Attendance at all
three days is mandatory.
