Military spouse preference provides priority in the employment
selection process for military spouses who are currently civil service and are
relocating as a result of their military spouse's PCS. Hiring for
non-competitive recruiting lists may be limited to "priority categories" such as
current/former federal employees, VRA eligibles, or severely disabled
individuals. Family members who are currently federally employed
should contact their local Civilian Personnel Office to request LWOP and to
register in the Central Skills Bank or call Edwards Civilian Personnel Office at
805-277-3840. Family members and the general public may apply for any
opening listed as "Federal Career Opportunity." Spouses should
include a copy of their spouse's PCS orders when applying for Civilian
Personnel, NAF, or AAFES jobs or contact Civilian Personnel for spouse
preference information.
