Before you leave, make sure you have all important papers with
you and they are not packed in your household goods. Your sponsor can
be helpful if an emergency occurs. You should take the time to
determine if any military bases are enroute to your new duty
station. The American Red Cross and Air Force Aid are always
available for emergency aid. Emergencies do happen. Dobbins ARB maintains an
emergency fund that gives limited loans. Referrals are made to Air Force Aid,
Navy Relief, Army Emergency Relief, and the Red Cross.
