There are more than 82,500 apartments in the local area ranging from
single-room studios to lavishly constructed units in luxurious complexes
complete with pool, fitness center and tennis court. Most apartments
are unfurnished. There are very few furnished
apartments. Short term apartments are difficult to find, especially
from October - February, due to Tucson's tourist and student
population. The median rent of an unfurnished apartment is; 1 bedroom
- $450 - $750, 2 bedroom - $525 - $850, 3 bedroom - $750 -
$1025. There are plenty of homes available in Tucson for rent or
sale. Due to demand and high building costs rentals can be
expensive. The average cost for home rentals are; 2 bedroom - $800 -
$1000, 3 bedroom - $1000 - $1400, 4 bedroom - $1200 - $1600. The
average sale price for a home is $200,000 and a median sale price is
$168,000. Town homes average sale price is $160,000, the median sale

The average deposit for a house is one month's
rent. For an apartment the average security deposit is approximately
one months rent, and pet deposits are about $150. There are
apartments in the area that accept small pets. There are only a few
apartments that accept large pets, therefore, you may have to temporarily place
