Davis-Monthan has a full-service Family Advocacy program to meet
all your needs:
FAMILY MALTREATMENT ISSUES
Provides identification,
evaluation and treatment services for active duty members and their family
members referred due to maltreatment (child abuse and/or family
violence). Air Force Policy directs that all active duty members and
civilian employees of the Air Force will report all incidents of suspected
family maltreatment.
NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM
Designed to provide
education, support and information to new and expectant parents. These services
may be provided until the baby's third birthday. Services are also
available to families with unique circumstances, such as:
- Blended families
- Unplanned pregnancy
- Teen pregnancy/Parenting
- Medically
complicated pregnancy
- History of abuse in present family or family of
origin
- Inadequate financial resources to meet basic needs
OUTREACH
PROGRAM
Promotes wellness and reduces the opportunities for family
maltreatment by designing, developing and implementing services to families and
individuals. Emphasis is placed on the reduction of stress and the
development of effective coping strategies before a problem results in a
maltreatment incident.
SPECIAL NEEDS IDENTIFICATION AND ASSIGNMENT
COORDINATION SERVICES (SNIAC) (Formerly EFMP)
This is an Air Force mandated
program for all active duty personnel having a special needs family member who
requires specialized medical, emotional and/or educational
services. This program can minimize hardships by providing the
following:
- Assures all special educational and medical needs are met

Referrals to appropriate base or local community resources
- Assistance in
reassignment or deferment considerations
