Virginia Enrollment Requirements:
All first-time and transfer
students must provide the following documentation:
1. Birth Certificate
2.
Social Security Number
3. A physical examination performed by a physician
within a year of enrollment. Requirements vary slighty with different
school systems. Health Examination form can be downloaded from the Virginia
Department of Education's website, link can be found in Contacts.
4. A series
of four DPT and three Polio Immunizations
5. Immunizations against Measles,
Mumps and Rubella - one after the first birthday and the second prior to entry
into kindergarten or into first grade, if the child has not attended
kindergarten.

There are several school districts within the
Hampton Roads area offering a variety of after-school activites
and sports programs. Many of the schools have their own websites with
school schedules, activities and the latest announcements. These websites can be

Virginia
Governor's Schools provide some of the state's most able students academically
and artistically challenging programs beyond those offered in their home
schools. With the support of the Virginia Board of Education and the General
Assembly, the Governor's Schools presently include summer residential, summer
regional, and academic-year programs serving more than 7,500 gifted students
