Fleet & Family Support Centers have employment counselors,
local and national job postings, Internet and other computer services as well as
a library of career information available for job seekers. You can link to some

The Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) has
the Automated Labor Exchange (ALEX) available online at their website. Using
this resource, you can look for employment opportunities in the Hampton Roads
area.
If you will separate or retire from the Navy during or
upon completion of your tour at Dam Neck, the Transition Assistance Counselor at
the nearest FFSC will provide you with assistance in your job search.
FFSC
also offers the TAP seminar. TAP is a four-day workshop for pre-retirement or
pre-separation military members. It covers resume writing, interviewing skills,
salary negotiations, military benefits, and other topics that facilitate a
smooth transition from the military to the civilian community. Call 444-3522 for
