There are several easy ways to find out about part-time
employment whether you are active duty, a retiree, or a military family
member. The Fleet and Family Support Centers (FFSC) provide free job
search resources for part-time employment. Copies of local want ads
are also available in the FFSC employment resource
center.
Temporary employment agencies can also be
a resource for part-time employment. These agencies can usually be
found under the yellow pages of any phone book under "employment" or "temp
agencies". Employment agencies have candidates fill out a general
application. In addition, you need to bring your resume and other
relevant employment information. When you set up an appointment, you
may expect to set aside time for completing the application, an interview and
some skills tests. Always check with an employment agency to see who
pays the fees. At contigency-employment agencies, the fees are paid
by the employer. At employment consultant agencies, the fees are paid
by the applicant.
