VEHICLE REGISTRATION:  Private vehicles must be registered with Security Forces within 72 hours after arrival on site.  In order to register you must have a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance that meets the current Alaskan requirements.

MOTORCYCLE USE:  To operate a motorcycle on Clear you must have a valid driver's license and an approved safety competency course completion card.  If you have any questions contact Security Forces, Pass and Registration, at 585-6293.

WINTER DRIVING:  During the months of Oct - Apr, all personnel leaving the site are required to take their cold-weather gear with them.  Also, two personnel are required when taking a GOV off-site during these months.  Travel off-site may be restricted when road conditions or visibility is poor or during extreme cold.  You can count on this happening sometime during the winter months.

HUNTING AND FISHING:  There are rules and regulations for hunting and fishing on Clear as well as in the state of Alaska.  For more information, contact the site game warden, at (907)585-6479/ DSN 317-585-6479.

TRANSPORT OF FIREARMS:  If you decide to drive across through Canada, firearms are not allowed across the border.  Mr. Terry Wilkes is available to personnel arriving to Clear AFS.  He may be reached at:  (907) 582-2661.
