Volunteers assist the organization in a variety of
tasks. They enable the organization to save time and money, and to
offer services that might otherwise be unavailable. Volunteers
benefit from knowing that they have performed a useful service and directly
influenced the quality of life within their community. Ridgecrest
Regional Hospital has the Pink Ladies for someone interested in nursing and the
Salvation Army is in constant need of volunteers for the food program and thrift
shop. The Fleet and Family Support Center at China Lake recognizes
that volunteers are multi-faceted in talents and skills, with a wide range of
experience, education, and professional training. The military
community volunteers can add a dimension of experience to the FFSC that comes
from living the mobile military lifestyle. If you are interested in
learning about the volunteer opportunities at China Lake or in the surrounding
community, please contact the FFSC.
