The China Lake/Ridgecrest area offers many licensed preschools
whose directors are members of various Child Development Associations. Most of
these preschools are visited by Health Department staff for observation of the
preschool's compliance with safety, health, space and equipment regulations as
well as teacher/child ratios, in-service training, program plans, program
operation and parent involvement. Contact the one you may be interested in and
they will provide information about facilities, learning opportunities, and
quality of care, etc. Before and after school programs are both
available.
Most have a well-balanced program with philosophies that
