Spouse preference for Appropriated Fund positions is afforded
only through the Department of Defense (DoD)Priority Placement
Program. In order to be eligible, the spouse must be already serving
on an empected appointment overseas or on a career or career-conditional
appointment at the time the PCS Orders are issued. The spouse must be
placed on leave without pay (LWOP) or be separared from their appointment due to
PCS in order to receive spouse preference priority placement
consideration. Registration for departing spouses may be accomplished
30 days prior to sponsor's reporting date at the new duty
