Vehicle Checks - All vehicles entering or leaving Charleston Naval facilities are subject to search.
Child restraint systems are required for transporting all children under 6 years old, whether car seat or seat belt, depending on the age and weight of the child. Children under 25 lbs must be restrained in an approved rear facing car seat and all passengers of any vehicles transiting NWS must have their seatbelts fashioned at all times, or face a possible $200 fine.
Vehicles must use headlights when windshield wipers are in use as a result of inclement weather or environmental factors.
Vehicle registration is required upon arrival. Bring your orders, proof of insurance, valid driver's license, and registration to the Pass and Badge office located at Bldg 302, Personnel Support Detachment.
