There are four school districts in the local commuting area: Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester Districts II and IV.
The base resides in Berkeley County and, therefore, children of military families are typically assigned in corresponding schools in that district.
Those families who choose to live off base have additional choices in the Dorchester (Districts II or IV) and Charleston county schools.
