The Contracting Office on Charleston Air Force Base does not
maintain a list of on-base contractors. Employment through government
contractors is handled ONLY by the individual contractors. The base
Contracting Office is not involved in the process whatsoever.
As a
result, it may be challenging to find which contractors have active contracts at
any given time. Individuals have to review employment listings of
individual contractors.
For someone interested in becoming a federal
contractor, a monthly meeting is held every 3rd Thursday,
from 0900-1100 at the Bank of America Bldg in North Charleston which
is on the corner of Aviation and Core Drives.
