Middle School Program:
The Carlisle Barracks Middle School Program mission is to ensure that youth experience positive individual and group activities which compliment the school day, not duplicate it. The activities support their need for positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Youth Services Social Program:
The Youth Services Social Program is geared towards Carlisle Barracks high school students. Youth Services also plans occasional excursions away from Carlisle Barracks. Some favorite trips are to amusement parks, zoos, sporting events, and ski resorts. A Youth Council is open to all youth, 6th through 12th grade, who wish to become involved in determining goals, introducing programs, and sharing ideas with the Youth Service staff.

Youth Sports presents opportunities for all ages to participate in team and individual sports. The sports philosophy emphasizes fun, game fundamentals, sportsmanship, and physical fitness in an encouraging atmosphere.

Soccer Camp: Youth Sports sponsors a one week camp in August for youth ages 3 through 18. Qualified instructors guide the soccer campers in the fundamentals of the game.

Soccer: This program is offered in the fall and spring of each year and is open to all youth 3 through 18 years of age. All games are held on-post between post teams.

Basketball League: This program is open to youth Grades 1st through 12th. The season begins in early January and finishes in early March. While Youth Services has its own outdoor sport court (built in 2003), the basketball league holds all games and practices in the two indoor gymnasiums on-post.

Skateboard Park. A state-of-the-art Skateboard Park is now located on Carlisle Barracks. The Skateboard Park (built in October 2003) has its own elite membership "club" (also associated with 4H clubs) for Youth Services members only. This Skateboard Park is the envy of all other military installations. Parent permission forms must be on file at Youth Services in order to use this elite facility.

The Youth Sports department has also added Junior Golf Lessons, Tennis Lessons, a Spring T-Ball League, a formal Strength and Conditioning Program and a parent/child Tae Kwon Do Class.

All of our sports and the Skateboard Park are available to Youth Services members at a very reasonable fee. Other activities are offered based on recommendations and interest.

The Carlisle Barracks Youth Sports office is housed in the same building as Youth Services,(Bldg. 637). Youth Sports Director can be reached at 717-245-4170.

Space at the Center is also available, at a moderate fee, for private parties for youth.
