Dunham U.S. Army Health Clinic (450 Gibner Road) is a
freestanding ambulatory treatment facility which provides primary medical
services to authorized beneficiaries. The clinic is staffed and
equipped to provide care for routine outpatient medical
conditions. Family practice is the primary clinical service
available, supported by limited pediatrics and
gynecology. Additionally, the clinic provides Immunization,
Optometry, Physical Therapy, Physical Exam, Mammography and Social Work
Services. The Clinic hours are 0730 to 1630,
M-F. Pediatric hours are 0730 to 1900 Mondays, 0730 to 1600 Tuesday
through Thursday, and 0730 to 1130 on Fridays.
A Space Available
Appointment Clinic (SAAC) is available for all beneficiaries for same day and
next day appointments by calling (717) 245-3865. The SAAC hours are
0730 to 1900, M-F, 0730 to 1600 on Saturdays, and 0730 to 1100 on holidays and
the Saturday after a Friday holiday, and CLOSED on Sundays.
The Clinic
does not have an emergency room or inpatient capabilities; however, adequate
emergency medical services are available in the local
community. Hospitalization and medical care from specialists are
available through military treatment facilities at Fort Meade, Walter Reed, and
Bethesda Naval Hospital or to local civilian sources.
Civilian care for
other than active duty members is normally cost shared by the sponsor with the
Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services. Family
members may require care not available through the clinic; therefore, it is
highly recommended that military personnel being assigned to this area obtain a
TRICARE Supplement.
Appointments and further information concerning
services available may be obtained by dialing (717) 245-3400. Medical
information is available by dialing (717) 245-4719.
The U.S. Army Dental
Clinic is co-located with Dunham U.S. Army Health Clinic (450 Gibner
Road). Comprehensive dental care is provided to all active duty
personnel who receive priority care. Dental care is also provided to
family members and retirees on a space available basis. However, the
Director of Dental Services will curtail space-available care, as required, to
ensure expedient care is provided to active duty
personnel. Therefore, active duty personnel are strongly encouraged
to enroll their families in the Delta Dental Plan.
All patients must have
a current examination prior to definitive dental treatment, to include
cleanings. Active duty personnel may make appointments by phone or in
person. Duty sick call is from 0730 to 1300 Monday through
Friday. Further information concerning services available can be
obtained by dialing (717) 245-4542.
Ensure that both you and your spouse
are very familiar with the coverage under your dental plan. Many
families are being held responsible for the high cost of dental work performed
that was not covered under their plan.
