& Family Services offers the Family Member Employment Assistance
Program/Career Focus at two locations, at mainside in building 13150 and Career
Focus "North" in building 520512 (SOI area).
Career Focus provides job assistance and career management services to active
duty military personnel and their family members. Other authorized
military I.D. holders are served on a space available
basis. Specifically for military spouses and family members is the
C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Program.
C.H.O.I.C.E.S. is a
three part program consisting of educational workshops, career assessment and
evaluation services, and convenient and appropriate resources and
referrals. The goal of the C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Program is to generate
enhanced self-awareness of all available options, increased self-esteem and
self-development.
In addition, there is the
SPOUSE UNIVERSITY program which offers specialized skills training and
non-traditional education for family members who want to enter the job market or
change careers.
Career Focus provides assistance
through educational workshops, career workshops, mandated programs (TAMP, TAP),
and specialized services which include a Resource Library, job listings,
Veterans Administration and State Employment Representatives and two computer
resource labs.
