Morehead City/Atlantic Beach off Rt. 70 on Hwy 101 and 16 miles east of New
Bern. Located in Craven County, it is surrounded by Carteret, Pamlico, and Jones
counties.
New River Air Station is located four miles south
of downtown Jacksonville on Hwy 17.
Fort Bragg is located 10 miles
outside of Fayetteville, NC.
Pope AFB is located outside of
Fayetteville, NC, two miles from Fort Bragg and 122 miles from Camp
Lejeune.
Seymour Johnson AFB is annexed to Goldsboro, NC, on Hwy 70
between Raleigh and New Bern.

MCAS New River is located four miles south of downtown
Jacksonville on Hwy 17, and approximately 14 miles from Camp Lejeune. The
major commands are: Marine Corps Air Station Headquarters, Marine Aircraft
Group 26 and 29, H&HS, MWSS-272 and NAMTRAMAR Unit. MCAS plays a major
role with troop transport helicopter and heavy lift capabilities in
support of the Second Marine Aircraft Wing and Second Marine Division. |
