School districts located in the Denver Metro Area offer exciting
educational opportunities for high school students. High school
students usually attend a high school located in the area in which they
reside. If students are enrolled in a charter school or alternative
school, public school districts usually provide school bus transportation to the
designated school.
Check your local school district for more
information. Also, the Yellow Pages has a comprehensive listing all school
districts in the Denver Metro area that are listed under "Public School
Districts" and "Private Schools".
It is wise to make a list
of questions that you feel are important to the education of your
child/children. Talk to the school counselor and get answers to your
questions. Discuss accreditation, transportation, fee & age
requirements, hours, after-school services, sports activities, SAT scores and
on-site food service.
Check out the school's web site in the area where
you live for information. Also, go to the Colorado Department of
Education web site and check on the status of the school as compared to others
in the area.
