Buckley AFB is one of the Air Force's newest
bases. Many new facilities are being brought into
place. With this, there are opportunities for possible DoD contract
positions. Buckely AFB employs hundreds of civilian defense
contractors from a myriad of companies. Some of the areas of
occupation include: space, training, construction, food service, lodging,
grounds maintenance, custodial services, flight line, supply, ground base
missile defense, advisory and assistance services, IT services and technology,
and architect engineers.
The Colorado Chamber of Commerce, Denver Chamber
of Cpommerce, Aurora Chamber of Commerce are great resources to use when seeking
employment with these companies. You can purchase directories for a
variety of occupational areas such as Aerospace & Defense, Top 100
Employers, Company Headquarters, High Tech, are more. These
directories contain company descriptions; number of employees, phone & fax
numbers, the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code and the year the
company was established. There usually is a minimal fee for each
booklet.
