The Family Support Center offers a variety of programs and
resources to help military and DoD personnel and their families to prepare for
and cope with separations due to deployments, remote assignments, natural
disasters, and evacuations. By addressing emotional, financial, legal, and
family issues prior to these events, as well as providing support programs
during times of separation, the Family Support Center can help members balance
quality of life and mission readiness needs more adeptly.
Pre-deployment
briefings are offered monthly. Spouses are encouraged to attend to
find out what support is offered. Information presented in the
briefing centers around the three phases of the deployment process:
pre-deployment, deployment, and reunion. Family programs, such as
Hearts Apart Morale Calls, Car Care Because We Care, and Give Parents a Break
are also presented during the briefing. Briefings may also be
scheduled on an individual basis by calling the Family Support
Center. A variety of information packets and resources are also
available at the center. We strongly recommend individuals and
families be proactive by planning ahead for future deployments.
