The Denver Metro area provides a variety of college and university opportunities as well as other post secondary institutions.  Colorado residents receive tuition reductions at state-supported schools.  Residency requirements are met by living in the state, paying state income tax and having a Colorado driver's license for at least twelve months. Military members and dependents are allowed to pay in-state tuition at state schools while assigned in Colorado.

For information regarding post-secondary education, contact the 460th Education Office at Buckley AFB at 303-677-6675.  Information regarding financial aid, various commissioning programs, professional military education, the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), Operation Bootstrap, and VA Benefits are available.  The Education Center also offers a wide variety of tests including the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) exams.
