Automobile Decaling (on-site): All privately owned vehicles operated on and parked on-base must be registered with and be eligible for a Department of Defense decal issued by the Naval Base Kitsap - Bremerton Pass and ID Office. Current requirements are: proof of car insurance which fulfills Washington State guidelines, a valid military or civilian base ID card, a current state drivers license and the current registration on the vehicle.

In past years, vehicle parking has been the number one challenge onboard the Bremerton complex, but with the 1997 opening of a seven level parking garage   (1900+ spaces), an adjacent five acre paved lot (730+ spaces) and acquistion of a waterfront parking lot (E7 and above) for Forces Afloat personnel only has reduced this problem. Designated civilian employee lots are clearly designated. The Shipyard Public Works Department provides bus service routed throughout the base complex regularly before and after working hours to all parking lots on base.
