If you want to get to know your community better, volunteering
allows you to network, develop, and discover new talents, while helping others.
Community Services networks with many volunteer programs both on and off base.
There are a host of on-base volunteer opportunities including readers for
Library Story Hour, assisting military retirees and their families at the
Retired Activities Office and mentoring new military families, to name just a
few. There are also volunteer opportunities in the local community, which can be
found through our Volunteer Coordinator.
Family members are encouraged to
volunteer with one of the many installation activities that utilize volunteers,
including Marine Corps Family Team Building and the Navy Marine Corps Relief
Society. Some of the advantages of volunteering include paid mileage, paid
childcare and a great way to earn experience.
