For those military spouses interested in employment through the
federal government, spouse preference is generally available for most NAF
(non-appropriated fund) positions. The local MCCS Human Resources Office on
Parris Island handles most of these positions and an updated listing is
available at MCCS-SC website.
Civil Service positions may also have
spouse preference, but only for those applicants who already have appointability
in the Civil Service system. For more information, check with the Civilian
