Beale AFB is the only bed down base that flies high aerial manned
and unmanned aircraft. Because of the worldwide need for
instantaneous information, these aircraft are in high demand. As a result,
deployments are common at Beale.
Assistance with the Challenges
of Deployments
The Family Support Center offers extensive
information on how to maintain family and marital relationships during
deployments and extended temporary duty assignments. Whether you're a military
member or family member, the FSC has information on long-distance relationships,
the emotions individuals experience during deployments, and critical information
on reunion after the deployments. Surprisingly, many people are unaware of the
detachment and distancing that can occur during a deployment and the affect this
can have on marriages and parent to child relationships.
Programs
for the Deployed Member's Family
To help families separated by
deployments and TDYs, the Family Support Center offers a variety of services and

A video phone
$20 calling card compliments of Air Force Aid
A free oil change for the family's primary vehicle
