The Seattle-Tacoma (SEA-TAC) International Airport provides
regional access for all major airlines from all points in the United States and
internationally. It is a 1.5 hour/65 mile drive from Bremerton. Located 12 miles
south of downtown Seattle, it is accessible by State Highway 518 four miles off
I-5 freeway, then south 23 miles on Interstate 5 to Tacoma, then 32 miles
northwest on State Highways 16 and 3 to the naval complex. Another optional
route available to Bremerton is via downtown Seattle and the state ferry system
which run every hour and 20 minutes on the average.
KITSAP TRANSIT
provides scheduled bus service through the populated areas of Kitsap County to
interface with the state ferry system, and other surrounding county bus
services, for arriving/departing passenger convenience. Military
personnel showing their ID cards receive free service on all scheduled local

Vanpooling, ridesharing and worker-driver bus
rides from home neigborhoods to/from the Naval Base Kitsap
- Bremerton/Puget Sound Naval Shipyard complex and other Kitsap
County area work sites for all work shifts are highly encouraged is highly
encouraged to alleviate parking constraints and all area naval activities.
