SPECIAL NEEDS IDENTIFICATION & ASSIGNMENT COORDINATION PROCESS - Previously known as Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), the revamped assignment coordination process serves Air Force family members with special needs. See the contacts listing for contact information.  This need could be medical, mental health or educational. The process also ensures that Active Duty sponsors are "Q-coded" via the Military Personnel Flight. This will assist in the quick identification of AD members during PCS for timely relocation and appropriate resource matching prior to the actual move.

FAMILY ADVOCACY OUTREACH PROGRAM -  The program provides education and training to reduce family conflict and increase family cohesion, to reduce parenting deficiencies and increase competence, and to reduce social isolation and increase networking.  The program helps organize community responses to reduce conflict and strengthen families. This includes groups and information/referral services.

NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM - The Program seeks to improve the overall health of young families. It is designed to provide community based nursing services during pregnancy and up to three years after birth. Primary services include education, counseling, and advocacy focused on family oriented pre and postnatal care.  The program is designed to help the family cope with a broad range of stressors related to the family adjusting to pregnancy and parenting.

FAMILY MALTREATMENT PROGRAM - It is Air Force policy to identify, report, assess, treat, and provide other services to victims of family maltreatment and their families.  The Family Advocacy Program provides individual, group, family and marital therapy to families in which child abuse, neglect or spouse abuse has occurred.  The multidisciplinary Family Maltreatment Case Management Team (FMCMT) is responsible for case disposition and treatment planning.  The FAP maltreatment staff works with abuse and neglect issues in cooperation with the Child Protection Agency having jurisdiction.
