Most American families spend $2,000 or more on a family vacation. And let's face it: Too many put their vacations on a credit card. Did you take a vacation awhile ago that you're still paying for now? Now's the time to put your foot down. Stop going on vacations that end in financial setback.
Once you get in the habit of budgeting and saving ahead for your vacation, you'll find your trips so much more enjoyable and relaxing. Making monthly payments to your own vacation fund, plus earning interest, is far better than paying for last year's fun with interest tacked on by your credit card company.
