FROM SAN ANTONIO (IH-37):
Follow Highway 37 south till you see a sign to Portland (I suggest you get in the middle lane - because the right lane is an 'exit only' to another destination). Follow the signs to Portland - you will now be on highway 181. Follow 181 - you will go over the Harbor Bridge (the USS Lexington is to the right of the bridge, it's a museum and is not NS Ingleside) and a causeway to Portland. Drive completely through Portland. At the 181/35 spilt stay on 35 till you see an exit for 361 to Ingleside (take it). You will be on Highway 361 - follow this in to downtown Ingleside. When you get into Ingleside at the first stop light you need to take a right on FM 1069. Follow FM 1069 to the front gate of the Naval Station.
FROM THE AIRPORT:
When exiting from the Corpus Christi Airport make a right onto Highway 44. Follow this highway till you see a sign for State Highway 358 West and/or Interstate 37 (turn will be to the left) Follow State Highway 358 to I-37. Follow above instructions from San Antonio to the Navy Station.
The Corpus Christi International Airport is located approximately 40 miles northwest of the Naval Station. There is no bus service available to the Naval Station. If you fly into Corpus Christi, you are reminded to call the appropriate 1-800 number for transportation to the Naval Station prior to contracting with a taxi or airport limo Service. The 1-800 numbers are posted in the Airport's USO and in the baggage claim area. Look very closely as the signs are small.
