If you have a large family, rent a limo. It costs about the same as any other transportation and it would be fun for your kids! Many of them greet you with an oversized Mickey in the back and will even stop at a supermarket for you to pick up necessities before going to the hotel. Also, if you have a lot of luggage, it is much easier to do this than the transportation vans.

You could also take the Disney transportation. They do make stops at SOG. (The cost is the same or more than a limo.)

The airport has many car rentals.  Some are off the airport property, but there are lots of shuttles.  Be sure to upgrade to get a GPS if you don't have one--it came in very handy for us last year!  Interstate 4 South goes straight from the airport to Orlando with an exit near Magic Kingdom.  There are lots of signs.  Follow the signs (really start watching after the Sea World exit) and when you get to the entry gate where you pay for parking, tell them you are going to Shades.  They should let you pass.  They did last year when we checked it out!  Have fun!  Its a beautiful resort.

I would look into cab service , we did that once before and its only about $20 bucks.

Once you arrive at SOG you can use the free bus services to the park.
