Visit www.vios.army.mil to complete paperwork.

Appointments aren't necessary.

DA (File 201) Photos are done Monday & Tuesday 08:00-11:30 and Wednesdays 13:00-15:30

For Head and Shoulder (Command) Photos, Monday & Tuesday 13:00-15:30, Wednesday 08:00-11:30, and Thursday 08:00-11:30 & 13:00-14:30.

Pick up Photos in Room 113, between 07:00 and 16:30.

Ft. Gordon Multimedia Visual Information Center (MVIC) & Photo Studio

Location: Nelson Hall, 1st floor, Room 119, on Chamberlain Ave to the left of signal Towers.

Office Hours:

Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri: 0800-1130 & 1230-1600

Thurs: 0900-1130 & 1230-1600

Closed weekends and federal holidays.

PHOTOS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Appointment times vary depending on photographer avalability.

Schedule photo appointments online at WWW.VIOS.ARMY.MIL.

DA Photo Reshoots (DA photo taken within 90 days of the last) are taken on Mondays between 0800 and 1100 with a memo from your company commander or equivalent. Call 706-791-2345 to make arrangements and check availability of a photographer. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ON VIOS FOR A RESHOOT, THIS WILL BE CANCELLED OR YOU MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE YOUR PHOTO DURING THAT TIME.

No local board/competition photos authorized. Winners may get a photo for display purposes only.

DA Photos not provided digitally to soldiers per Army Regulations and hard copy prints only for authorized requirements.

Soldiers should come early for the appointment to dress and prepare for thier photo appointment. Soldiers should have a properly fitted uniform and are encouraged to bring someone with them to look them over before thier appointment, during the session, and to assist in selecting a photo. Clipping, stuffing, and digitally altering the uniform are not authorized.

Passport photos for offical government travel passport are taken with proof of travel orders. NO TOURIST PASSPORTS.

DA Photo Hours

Monday & Tuesday  0800-1130 | Wednesday & Thursday  1300-1530

  • Fill out a work order, DA 3903, when you arrive at room 113, Nelson Hall or at www.army.vios.mil.
  • Walk-in basis (first come first serve)
  • Dressing rooms are available in room 119
  • Digital images are uploaded to DAPMIS within 24 hours
  • Specific TPU's still require hardcopies
  • Warrant Officer Application, OCS Application and certain other applications may require hardcopies
  • Any hardcopies can be picked up in room 113
