Camp Connection
Comments: Camp Connection is a
partnership between the Agency for Prevention of Substance Abuse and Anniston
Army Depot's Directorate of Community and Family Activities. The camp
is held each summer for the duration of one week. Children are
selected from the local community that have been identified as "at
risk". Installation civilian and military children are selected
through a "lottery" system. Camp Connection gives these children the
opportunity to "connect" with one another and discover that they are more alike
than different.
