Fitness Center
The Altus AFB Fitness Center, Building 156, is across the street from the Red River Inn lodging office and is open from 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. every day. The center features a free-weight room, Nautilus room, cardiovascular room and men’s and women’s locker rooms with sauna’s and showers. The men’s locker room also features a steam room. Two basketball courts, three racquetball courts, a rock climbing room and an aerobics room with step aerobics, regular aerobics classes, a “get fit” class and Tae Kwon Do/Korean Sword lessons round out the highlights of the first-class fitness center. Intramural Sports
The base sports program includes intramural volleyball, racquetball, slow-pitch softball, golf, tennis, football and basketball. Please call 481-7440 for more information.
 
Golf Course
The Windy Trails Golf Course features an 18 hole, par 72 course, with bent grass greens, Bermuda grass tees and fairways, practice greens and a lighted driving range for excellent year-round play. The pro shop (Building 35) offers clubs and equipment for rent or purchase. The golf club conducts tournaments throughout the year and has an active junior golf program.   Golf lessons are available for individuals and clinics are provided year round by a qualified PGA Golf Professional. Library
Located in Building 65, the Altus AFB Library has a collection of 22,000 volumes. The library also maintains a variety of audiovisual materials for checkout including DVDs, VHS, audio books on CD and cassette and music CDs. Computers with Internet access are available for customer use. The computers also feature Microsoft Office products and links to electronic resources. Please call 481-6302 for more information. 
 
Freedom Community Center
The Freedom Community Center, Building 148, features wireless Internet access, a big-screen TV, comfortable lounge areas, pool tables, foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard and darts. The center has conference rooms available for private or squadron use (by reservation). In addition, the center features a snack bar every day except Sunday operating hours. Bowling
Galaxy Lanes, Building 106, features 12 lanes with low rates and daily snack bar specials at the Galaxy Grill. Please call 481-6704 for more information.
 
Theater
Building 414 houses the AAFES base theater. Movies are shown on Friday through Sunday only. Please call 481-7341 for titles, prices and show times.
 
Outdoor Recreation and Equipment Rental
The Outdoor Recreation and Equipment Rental Center is located at building 343. The center offers access to outdoor activities, information on swimming, hiking, fishing and camping opportunities.
 
Rental equipment, available for squadron or personal use, includes campers, camping gear, several types of boats, bass buggies, canoes and trailers, bicycle, games, sporting equipment, home repair and yard maintenance tools, tables and chairs. The outdoor recreation center also features paintball and an archery range. Paintball resale items are also available. The archery range is equipped with 3-D targets and two deer stands at 16 ft. and 12 ft. Please call 481-7696 for more information.
 
Information, Tickets and Travel Office
The Information, Tickets and Travel Office is collocated with the outdoor recreation center. Discount tickets are available for area recreational, sporting and concert events, hotels, Walt Disney World and Land, theme parks and many more. The IT&T office also schedules monthly trips and tours. Please call 481-7416 for more information.
 
Wood Skills Center and Frame Shop
Building 342 houses the wood skills center. The shop features a complete array of machinery, hand tools and supplies. A skilled carpenter is available to assist customers. There is a one time, mandatory safety course for new users.
 
The frame shop, which features both custom and do-it-yourself frame service, is adjacent to the wood skills center. The shop stocks an assortment of frames, mattes and glass.

Automotive Skills Center
Building 343 houses the automotive skills center. The center has everything needed for complete auto maintenance and repair projects: tools, manuals, motorcycle and car lifts, paint booths and wash stalls. A qualified mechanic will be on duty to help customers. Auto repair classes for beginners are scheduled regularly. Please call 481-6326 for more information.
 
FAM-CAMP
The Fam-Camp area is located near the main gate. It features spaces for seven recreational vehicles with electrical, water and sewer hookups. The area has grills and picnic tables. Reservations, which are limited to five days, can be made at 481-7696.
 
Youth Center
The Youth Center, now called the Boys and Girls Club of America, Building 1866, is located in the base housing area. The club offers programs for children ages 5 through 18. Emphasis is on youth programs including T-Ball, soccer, basketball, arts and crafts, summer camp and clubs. Please call 481-7903 for more information.
