The Marine Corps New Parent Support Program is a joint effort
between the United States Marine Corps and J & E Associates, Silver Springs
MD. The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is a team of social workers
and nurses providing community/parenting education, personal support and
resource assistance to Marine Corps families expecting, or with children under
six years of age, regardless of rank. A voluntary program, NPSP
attempts to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect by promoting
healthy family functioning.
