Please check in with the Spouse Employment Assistance Program
Manager at the Family Support Center when you arrive. Assistance is
available with resume writing, job search, and
referrals.
There is also a monetary Department of Labor
program for job re-training that you may be eligible for. This program is
specific to the Colorado Springs area. The requirements for spouses
include that the spouse must have been gainfully employed prior to transfer to
the Pikes Peak Region; and must now be unemployed due to the military member's
transfer. Spouse must have proof of previous employment.
Civil
Service personnel are also eligible if they have lost their job due to a
reduction in force, through no fault of their own.
